We were happy to have a chance to explore some of the coast and lighthouses while here for work. Bug Light was a charming, somewhat squat little light, but I like that you can get right up to it and also look out to the ocean beyond. It's a very peaceful place.

We visited this park on a girls coastal trip to Maine. This park was a “must do “ while visiting Portland per ChatGPT. Not really sure why……we did enjoy seeing the waterfront and lighthouse, but enjoyed others so much more. The huge ship structure was interesting.

We're here at least annually for the Porsches in the Park charity event. It's a spacious location with scenic views of the harbor, including Fort Gorges. There is also a small lighthouse that you can walk to. There's quite a bit of parking, and you can launch your small boat here. Benches, some shade trees around the perimeter. Today there were food truck for the aforementioned event. Port-O-Potties. There's a paved path for walking, or just walk through the grassy park. No fee, scenic views, and bring a picnic lunch. Open from dawn 'til dusk. A nice breeze cools you off. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip.

The nice thing about out this particular lighthouse is the fact that you can walk right up to, and around it. Makes for a wonderful place to take some selfie photo’s. There is a second beacon just across from this one if you don’t mind talking a short walk.

Bug Light ParkWe stopped by this park area to view the Lighthouse. This park is very clean and laid out nicely. Lots of area to enjoy the scenery overlooking the bay and take a break you’re your hectic lives. You can fly kits, fish or hike the park. There are benches and even a history panel with lots of history about this areas ship building in WW2. The lighthouse is easy to walk out to and it’s in great shape for being built in 1875. We just enjoyed the day in this park and were glad we went there. There is plenty of room for parking your car. I must give this Lighthouse and park a 5 out of 5 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Follow Me On FB For More Reviews & FunGulf Coast Terry
