This library, a post-modern structure full of turrets and odd geometrical shapes, is a bastion of knowledge. Internally, the academic atmosphere of each study area is indicative of individual moods. Six of the ten floors of the library are open to the public. Keeping with the tradition set in 1894, the library still has a world-class children's facility. The library is a regional depository for government publications. It offers extensive genealogical resources as well as historical books, photographs, art, and memorabilia chronicling the American West. The library also offers fiction and non-fiction texts, periodicals and computers allowing free Internet access. Tours are available.

MoreWe stepped inside the library on a snowy day to see how the interior looked. The building is large and impressive, and the staff that we passed offered to help if we were looking for anything. Everyone was friendly, and we enjoyed a few minutes looking around and admiring the building's architecture.
MoreIt is probably one of the largest complex of library buildings I ever saw. Very modern, each one a bit different but very pleasing for eye. I haven't been inside so I cannot comment on interior or services.
MoreThey need to move the main public library out to a suburb. It's just not a library anymore. Only a fraction of the people there are actually there to use the library. Much better off going to the Auraria campus library.
