Burnside Park is located adjacent to Kennedy Square Plaza and it's known for its popular Burnside Music Series concerts every summer. The park is named after Ambrose Burnside, a Civil War general from the state of Rhode Island and it was constructed in 1892. Another highlight in the park includes the Bajnotti Fountain and it's just an overall great place to relax amidst the downtown hustle-and-bustle.

MoreNot that big but worth a walk through during the day, some grassy areas, a fountain and a nice playground for the kids
Morethis park during the day is ok and is nice with its skating rink and the bumper cars that they had there. However after dark just stay away. Drunks, homeless people had a village of tents set up.It is not a place to let my kids go near by themselves or with an adult by themselves either. Located near some really nice hotels downtown but it does have a statue of Gen Burnside and some nice trees and plantings. Other than that not much to set it aside from any place where drunks, drug addicts and homeless set up shop. Not my kind of place to visit. lots of really nice places in our beautiful state to see but not this.
MoreThis is one component of the city’s primary public space, along with Kennedy Plaza and the Alex and Ani City Center skating rink. The more than 100-year-old Bajnotti Fountain is the centerpiece of the tree-lined park. Given its proximity to Kennedy Plaza and the financial district, this park isn’t going to offer much peace and quiet, but in the summer it provides plenty of much-needed shade.
