Rude security with no common sense.. extremely difficult to get to must have went through 50 stop lights to get to this place.. this is not a good place for any venue motels are horrible like being in a penitentiary in the city of Denver.. Denver has been bought up by Muslims.. food is extremely expensive everywhere even the grocery store is triple priced.. we will never go to Denver Colorado for anything unless it's business and we have to.. this was our first and last trip to Denver mainly because of this horrible venue..

I have very fond childhood memories of the stock show and so I was excited to take my family. I was impressed with how organized the parking is and how timely and friendly the shuttle driver were. It was just as cold as I remembered and the hot dog was just as good. Unfortunately, the rodeo had a clear political tilt and the announcer took every opportunity to push Donald Trump. They even had a bull called The Trump Train. It would be nice if they kept politics out of it, that way people the come from all over the world, all religions and all belief systems would have a better time at the rodeo.

Brought our toddler to the NWSS and it was fun but it was kind of ruined by how expensive everything has gotten there. Rodeo tickets, food and beverage were all way higher than previous years. We took the N line to the complex but couldn't believe how far the stop was from the entrance.

Every January the National Western Stock Show takes place in Denver. It's a big rodeo event, cattle and livestock show and auction, art exhibit. It starts with a parade of equestrians, longhorn cattle driven through the streets, and all sorts of western frontier excitement. It's two weeks of fun for the cowboy and cowgirl in all of us. Go if you have the chance.

I try to make it to the Stock Show every January at least one day and for at least one special event. I made it two days this year and my company flew out from Indiana. The many vendors offer many choices of anything Western. From literally soup to nuts, western clothing to tack, blankets to barns and everything else you can imagine. But the reason to travel to Denver in January are the special extra ticketed shows including world class rodeo to my personal favorite, the draft horse and mule competitions which include 8 horse draft horse hitches with the most beautiful wagons and harness in addition to the gorgeous Percherons, Clydesdales other draft Breeds. The last event of the Draft Horse and Mule Show is the Heavy Weight Pulls which this year we watched two Belgians pull nearly 19,000 pounds! There are five days of Rodeos at least, 4 days of Draft Horse and Mule Pulls as well as Freestyle Reining and Grand Prix Jumping and many other really awesome events. This really is a unique entertainment experience. There is also all kinds of cattle, bison, even chicken judging You just cant miss if you like anything about the West. There is even a wonderful Western Art Exhibit. There is a posted internet schedule of events so you can plan ahead and purchase your tickets for special events.
