This hotel scams guest by falsely accusing the guest of smoking and charging $350 to the credit on file without giving the guest notice after the check out. Simply sending a generic email making the guest aware when in person they told us that there was no incidental charges. And when I’m trying to reach the person in charge he’s not around nor do I get a response back from the emails that I sent.

Location was good. The actual hotel experience was not. Hotel is old and dirty. The customer service was not helpful. We booked two rooms for our larger family and asked for connecting rooms. Called again in advance to make sure. Were told to call the morning of check in. Called in the morning and was told they don’t have available connecting rooms, and that we should have requested earlier. They didn’t bother adding any notes. We’re told they can’t even give us two rooms on same floor and we are free to find a different hotel on our own. Very frustrating. After sharing our frustration, they did manage to find two rooms next to each other, although not connected. So it appeared they were so lazy they couldn’t be bothered to check. The hall floors were covered in horrible stains, dirt. The lobby was outdated and sloppy compared to the (many many) other hyatts we stayed at. The Placery furniture was so worn out, benches were ripped. Rooms were clean and functional. Window was very small, with a bad view. Overall we do not recommend this hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt in Georgetown for a few nights of this trip and it was a world of difference. From the atmosphere to the staff. Wish we never switched.

The room had ants. The bathroom door would not shut. looks like there was a flood and they never cleaned the carpet afterward. The paint on the walls was bubbling from water damage. TV channels are not very basic. Not channels for children. Rooms are very small. With the hide a bed out there is no room. Bathroom door would not shut. For how much this hotel is it felt like a super 8.

The location is fantastic and the overall feel of hotel is very good. The room, lobby, and all other areas were clean. The problem is that although the hotel appears new, it seems to be face-dressing. The guts of the hotel are old and need work. The A/C did not work well, the toilet would get stuck, and the showerhead was awful.

A Hyatt gold passport member for more than 2 decades. Upon arrival, standard cordial greeting but no extra bit. Gave me two tiny bottles of water and I went up. Upon arrival, the room was dark and dingy, luckily a window the size of a bathroom door provided some much needed natural light. For a while I thought this was the standard design. Everything within the space screams “CHEAP” and not quite cheerful. Granted this is Hyatt Place, but it feels like a 2 star hotel in the middle of Italy, in a bad way. Since I was in DC Z for a friend’s funeral, I was not in a mood to argue during this occasion. I don’t need you to go all the way for special treatment of bigger room, but a near windowless space facing the rear plant space is more for your chambermaids, not for your guests.
