I trusted them with my credit card. They abused the trust. They charged me a monthly fee but canceled or rescheduled my appointments. I asked to cancel the monthly fee. They said I had to go in person to cancel. When I went in person and asked to cancel the monthly fee, they said I had to meet with the manager. I went in person several times to meet with the manager, but they said the manager was not in to cancel my monthly fee. They took more than $700 from me without services. Very bad experience. They abused my trust.

This review is not based on actual services rendered. My husband and I booked a couples massage online for December 23rd and were really excited to attend. It is not something we do more than once a year together so we cringed at the $410 price, but went for it since it was supposed to be a special treat for us while family watched the kids. On the morning of the 23rd, I woke up with bumps all over the top of my feet, legs, and arms. My husband called immediately on opening to cancel our appointment (my husband didn't want to go without me) because my skin felt like it was on fire and very itchy. I didn't want to be touched and I didn't know what was going on with me so I was concerned this could be something that I could pass on, like shingles. When my husband called he had to leave a voicemail because no one answered. He did get a call back from The Remedy Day Spa and they didn't care that it was a legitimate medical issue, they were going to charge us for the missed visit. I called back hoping to speak with someone to hopefully appeal to some common decency and explain that we would be willing to meet them in the middle and pay a late cancellation fee that was closer to $100 for their troubles, if we could also reschedule once I was better, but all I too got was voicemail. I was even prepared to provide pictures as proof. I never received a call back and the next day got a charge of $452.76 to our bank account. I couldn't believe they did not have courtesy to call me back. I was looking for somewhere I could go more frequently to help with injuries my husband and I both received while we were on active duty. I will never give this place my business in the future! I am truly astounded that a place that proclaims to care about people's health and well-being is so absolutely heartless!!

Best spa in ABQ - hands down. This was our second visit to The Remedy & I cant wait to go back. We scheduled couples massage on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived about an 90 minutes early so we could have a soak in the hot tub. You are greeted right away at the door and checked in and given our locker keys and offered sandals if needed. We then headed to the changing rooms where our assigned lockers have a nice plush robe and towel waiting. After changing, we grabbed some water from the beverage station in the waiting/relaxation room, (where they also have a nice selection of hot tea and snack mix) and then we headed out to the beautiful outdoor area that houses the hot tub and sauna. There was about 5 other people & that’s about the max that you would want or it would be too crowded. We hopped in the hot tub and had a nice long soak and tried out the sauna (dry) for a bit. It’s amazing how relaxing it is even though you’re in the middle of the city. The plunge pool appeared to be closed off, but that was fine by me. The only con I could see is that there are only 3 chairs in the area so we had to put our stuff on the planter area, but not a huge deal. After our soak we changed we went back to then relaxation area to wait for out massage. We were greeted by our therapists (I had Victoria) and they took us back to the room. We were offered to smell three essential oil scents and got to pick the one of our preference. Our massage included hot stones and towels, but we were offered upgrades (I opted to try CBD lotion) but we didn’t feel pressured. The massages were great and very relaxing. They make liberal use of the oils and hot towels. The hot stones are a great addition as well. When it was over & we came out we were greeted in the hall by them and cups of cold water. The locker rooms are well appointed with everything you could need to make yourself presentable: lotion, mouthwash, combs, hair dryer, plastic bags for wet suits. In the lobby, they have a great array of organic products available to purchase. Everything about the visit was perfect from start to finish. It was exactly what We needed to rejuvenate after the holidays and I can’t wait for my next visit.

From the moment I spoke to the administrative person on the phone until the time I walked out the door, all staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Prices were reasonable and the outdoor space is a nice little respite complete with hot tub and a trellis to provide privacy from those reclining and those in the hot tub. Alicia was my masseuse and very intuitive as to the amount of pressure, and type of massage to provide. I left feeling rejuvenated after an exhausting week. I will be returning on my next trip to ABQ.
