The city of Johns Creek has one of the best veterans memorials that I have seen for a town of this size. A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as well as monuments to the wars. Would highly recommend to those who want to show the scope of the Vietnam War to others.

This gem in Johns Creek is a must-see for residents and visitors! It is a peaceful, well-designed memorial to walk through. This is a great place to bring your children and discuss our nation's history and how veterans and the military served (and continue to serve) this great nation! (FYI..... Out of respect, no pets allowed. Only service dogs.)

My wife and I visited this four acre memorial today. What a great experience. The memorial is dedicated to the the men and women who have served and to those who are currently serving in the United States Armed Services. There is a grand entrance plaza leading to a paved trail which circles a beautiful fountain that serves as the centerpiece of the park. Along the way there are black granite monuments that pay respect to each conflict, beginning with WWI as well as highlighting Women In Service. You will also see sponsored granite benches and a wooden gazebo. This is a beautiful peaceful place to go and reflect and pay homage. The entire memorial was constructed using donations.

The Johns Creek Veterans Memorial Walk is a wonderful tribute/memorial in honor of our nations veterans and those who fought in valor. The walk itself is self guided and short so it shouldn't be too cumbersome to those with mobility disabilities. That said, it also very informative to those of us who may have limited knowledge of the many wars that our nation has engaged. Each war beginning with World War 1 and up to the Iraq War, is accounted for with a memorial stone along with a written accounting of interesting facts. There is also a pleasant fountain with benches that encircle for those who wish to sit and reflect, or just simply enjoy the outdoors and surrounding nature. There are flags representing the US and the 5 branches of service as well as a large wooden Gazebo to seek shelter. Definitely worth a visit. And while your there, you might want to purchase an personalized etched walkway brick in honor of your own veteran.

While it is spread out, it is a very peaceful area to visit. A very appropriate memorial. Designed by a committee, it is surprisingly effective.
