my wife and I were in Lafayette for my grand daughters softball tournament and stayed at Home2 Suites. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating as we arrived before ck in and they were able to put us in a room right away. The room was very nice and everything seemed almost new. Bed was very comfortable.the breakfast buffet was one of the best i've ever seen.will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Bring cleaning supplies and your own sheets if you must stay here. The pubic hair in the photo is from a SECOND set of “clean sheets” that I had to request because I found similar hair on the pillow that I had slept on the night before (so gross)!! Prior to these other people’s hair encounters, I had to clean several areas of the room upon check in. I was disgusted at that point but I called myself thoroughly checking the bed before going to sleep. On my second day here, I stayed out of the room as long as I possibly could because the place just felt unclean. I even requested a pair of gloves from the front desk so that I could clean the toilet which was dirty. Ugh. Even now, with sheet set #3, I am considering just going across the street to the 24-hour CVS to just buy a blanket to lay on top of because I have zero confidence that this 3rd set is clean. The first two weren’t. I’m typing this at 12:10 AM because I just assumed that I would be asleep on clean sheets by now. Yea, I’m headed to CVS. Did I mention the long black hair on the wash cloth? (Picture attached). The pub-like hairs in the shower? The elevator that requires you to hold your breath? The dirty pool? The not-so renovated rooms. The rusted refrigerator in a the said so-called “renovated rooms? The visibly brown, dirt-filled telephone (picture attached)?The room smell that resembles a wet dog? Oh, yes, a scent plug in from Wal-mart is working overtime to cover that up. Quite frankly, I booked because it appears to be the best that Lafayette has and that’s pretty sad. This area is supposed to be exclusive and all the hotels are 1.5 star at best. This hotel is a 0.5 in cleanliness.

My wife and I stayed here for a little over a month while our house was getting renovated. The hotel is in a great safe location close to restaurants and shopping. It had very good breakfast. The staff there were great. They made us feel very welcome like family. Here are some of the staff that went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Cassandra, Lance, Shelly, Brian, Jai, and Deborah. Thank you all for being so kind, friendly and always having a smile. We really appreciate you all.

Disappointing. When checking in despite being a diamond member and profile stating room away from lift, that was the room allocated! That or the one next to the ice machine ( the two worst rooms for noise in the hotel). Disgusting 100% polyester sheets . The air conditioning unit was shocking. Huge industrial noisy machine making it impossible to sleep. Maid service every two days but they couldn’t even be bothered to change the sheets or make the bed up properly. Pretty annoying at breakfast one day as there was a works meeting/ conference taking place in the breakfast room. Not really on in a public space discussing business in a large organised group when hotel guests are trying to have a quiet breakfast.
