tripadvisorI had an epic time hiking out of A-Lodge and the people who work there are the absolutely amazing. I’ll be back.
MoreThis place is great! Super convenient to town and very well maintained and organized. It was the perfect place to stay with our van when visiting Boulder.
MoreThis place is AMAZING! It has everything you could ask for. The showers are clean and convenient, the lodge is a lovely place to rest inside, and the grounds and sauna are super relaxing. It’s so cool how the community is also involved, with local bands playing, the occasional yoga class on the lawn, etc. Walking distance to hikes and an incredibly short drive to downtown (only 8 minutes!), but it feels tucked away in the mountains. The staff was super friendly and helpful with area knowledge. 10/10 would recommend!
MoreI stayed here twice on my recent trip, once with my son and dog, and once with just my dog. We had the Adventure Queen because it had air conditioning and it was unusually hot around Boulder at the time. They did not have a double queen available when I was with my son so he brought his air mattress and it fit just fine moving around some furniture. I have stayed here 2 or 3 times in the past and was very impressed with the updates they have done since then. Modern yet fit in with the natural outdoorsy atmosphere. They provided Public Goods bathroom products which I love and are not cheap. Overall it is a wonderful , restful mountain atmosphere. It was close to hikes in Nederland which we were headed to. There is also a wonderful Boulder Canyon walking/running/biking path right outside their place which I walked on one morning. I met some interesting people hanging out outside, and there was live music one night. Dylan (I think the general manager) was very friendly and helpful. There were also 2 young women who helped me with my AC one day, also very friendly and helpful. I would not stay anywhere else in this area. (PS. You get a better deal on weekdays). Don’t hesitate to book here!
MoreI have stayed at this place a few times before and everything was fine! That is why I took my girlfriend there this past weekend. Small issues were no A/C and it was 92 degrees in Boulder and not much cooler, if at all, in the rooms. I asked the office person about that and was told to use the box fan. One of the windows was broken so it never really cooled own. BUT, the bigger issue I had was the next day. We left before the office was open and had to drop our key in the lockbox. As soon as I dropped the key into the box, my girlfriend realized we had left a bag on the floor containing approx $300.00 worth of souvenirs. We were going on an expedition, so I called later that afternoon and spoke with the office person. She indicated that nothing had been turned in by the maids but that they probably had it, and to call back the next day. Well, we were still in town so I went by there the next morning. This time the office guy was very rude and brushed me off from the start. Well, nothing is in the lost and found so I do not know what to tell you. I lost my earbuds last week and a few weeks ago we had someone claim $1,000.00 was stolen from them. I said I didn't lose anything, I left it in the room and called that afternoon. So it was stolen. I asked him if I could speak with the person that cleaned my room, and he said he preferred if I did not. He said they did not speak English. i said that I spoke Spanish and he said to quote him It won't do you any good, but go ahead if it makes you feel better. So I went down and spoke to Edwin who was cleaning another room and he spoke English. He indicated he did see the yellow bag containing the souvenirs but that he did not take it. The rest of the cleaning crew is his family so I asked him to go ask them. As he went to go sk them, the very unhelpful and rude office guy followed him in back. They came out later and Edwin did not acknowledge me and his brother swooshed him by me. The office guy stood there watering the plants and I told him what Edwin had said and that I was going to file a police report. He laughed and said Go ahead we know the Sherrif, he has been up here before. He also told me with a snark conviction that I signed a waiver that said they were not liable for stolen property that was left in the room. I know the bag of souvenirs was stolen, and it hurt my feelings that I trusted these folks and that the person charge did not give a damn! Literally! I will not stay here again, and I suggest that you do not if you do not want to deal with dishonest people.
