While strolling along Pearl Street, I stopped into this bookstore and was immediately impressed. It was beautifully organized and captured everything a great independent bookstore should be—warm, inviting, and full of character. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and there were thousands of books to browse across a wide variety of genres. If you enjoy reading, this is definitely a must-visit while you're in the area.

Pain in the arse. Returns aren't easy, books are double to1/3rd more than amazon and transactions are difficult. Ive lived in boulder 17 years and this place continuously drives me to buy $1000 worth of books from amazon although id prefer to support local. I dont mind paying a premium if its easy to support local but boulder bookstore’s making of an obstacle course leaves me with one choice - amazon. Sorry. Let us know when you get it together

My wife and I both said this might be the best bookstore we've ever been to...and we've been to a LOT of bookstores! They had multiple levels, including a somewhat 1/2 level. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. They have every genre. We will return!

Excellent selection, great sales table and very knowledgable helpful staff make this a must visit when in Boulder!

Lovely store with loads of interesting books and staff recommendations. The building itself is also very attractive and worth a visit. Some used books as well. Quite hot on a hot day!
