tripadvisorJust lovely! Make sure you do the lower hike showing all the ledges
MoreBeautiful hike. Definitely worth going to. A bit of navigation though rocks and roots. We were glad we didn’t take our dogs so we could mange making our way up to the overlook better. Definitely go.
MorePart of a longer, fairly strenuous hike in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The hike is beautiful but can be slippery due to all of the stone and moss.
MoreGreat trip. We arrived at approximately 3:15 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the trail. We opted to hike the Ledges Trail, which was a roughly 2.3 mile loop trail around the park. The trail was moderate in nature and consisted of walking on a dirt/gravel surface for a majority of the walk. There were several sections of steep incline/decline, along with multiple sets of staircases on the trail. Scattered throughout the trail were informational plaques that went into detail about the history of the area and the type of rocks found in the park. The trail took us through the forest and we were able to enjoy scenic views of the cliffs, along with various different types of rock formations. Tip: I recommend spending 1.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.
MoreWe enjoyed the Ledges trail. While some of the trail is on top of the ledges, venture down as you you see the trail go down to walk along the ledges. Lots of places to climb in and out of and you'll get great photos along the way. The only reason that I'm not giving this 5 stars is that the trail is not well marked once down at the ledges area, so we accidentally ended up on another trail going out of our way before we figured out how to get back to the ledges trail.
