Super cozy stay with incredible service. Would stay here again. We enjoyed the assigned parking spot right in front of our room.

I rarely write negative reviews, but here's what I should have known before we booked the Hideaway Suite. The bedroom/living room was fine, if dark and underlit in the evening, and all of the mechanicals functioned. But there was limited bathroom privacy because the TINY, dated bathroom was separated from the kitchenette with only a curtain. If you're above average size, you may not fit into the stand-up shower. I slipped on the sloped bathroom floor during the night. The stove and refrigerator appeared to be from the 1960s, with rust, although there was also a microwave and coffee and tea pots. The outdoor area, shared with the room next door, was barely maintained and not inviting. We like interesting lodgings and supporting small businesses, but this one just felt run down.

The location of this sweet little motel can't be beat with an enjoyable walk along the river to Pearl Street. The rooms are simple and cozy. My favorite part was the breakfast and coffee set up in the office. I felt like we had gone back in time. Tiff was so sweet and the perfect person to represent the motel.
