The Boulder Bookworm is one of the few non-chain bookstores in Boulder that can hold its own against the fantastic Boulder Bookstore. Located just outside of downtown, the Bookworm specializes in used and rare books, with many first edition and autographed copies available for serious collectors. The small store is nevertheless very cozy and homey-feeling, with lots of towering cases and soft chairs and lamps for those wishing to check out their books before buying them. The Boulder Bookworm is a lovely little hidden gem for anyone looking for a large book selection, including rare books, at affordable prices.

tripadvisorThe Bookworm is located in a little strip center, and has an extensive selection of second hand books, including a large children's section.. Well organized and well curated, if one cannot find something here, one is not trying. Bonus: it is a Women owned/operated business. Plenty of free parking. Support your local Indie bookseller!
MoreThe Bookworm is a used book store with a huge number of books. The will buy some of your used books at 25% of the face value and give you in-store credit for this. There is a fairly new book section near the front door, with a lot of good, recently released best-seller hardbacks available. At the Bookworm, you can find almost any author you want at really cheap prices. Check the Bookworm before going to B&N or Amazon.
MoreBefore owning a Kindle I was always running out of reading material while traveling; now not so much, but I still always want to know 2nd hand book stores are around. This store has more selections of just about everything, in all categories, including the usual. Also, hardcover recently published ( think mysteries esp.) are available, and rare books, especially Colorado history. Although I do buy books here, my main interest is recorded media, because I love to be read to. I read a lot, and listen to recorded media a lot also, in the car, while doing housework, or when the book I'm listening to is just too compelling to stop. Bookworm has a huge selection of these. They also have a smaller selection of DVDs Even during the week there are people with boxes of books turning them in for store credit, and this staff knows their books. They only take the best, so the selection is always good.
