Run by a volunteer group, the Chatfield Center for the Arts plays host to numerous events throughout the year. Although it is best known as the home of the historic Potter Auditorium, this center has many more top-notch facilities to boast of. The American Legion Room is perfect for meetings, while the Library Room is an intimate space apt for small performances. Many concerts are also held here.

tripadvisorOur first visit to CCA. It's an old school. We came from the cities to see a folk singer songwriter Joe Crookston. Joe traveled from his home state of NY. It was our 3rd time seeing Joe. He's outstanding!!! His concert was in the intimate Legion room set up like a coffee house. Short and high top tables and a few rows of chairs right in front of a very short stage. First come first serve seating. Very inexpensive for high quality artists. The acoustics were super!! Joe thought so too. They offer a selection of wines for nominal fee. Complimentary coffee and tea. There is a much larger auditorium in the same building for larger audiences. That looked like a beautifully refurbished comfortable venue. So impressed with this small towns dedication to the arts.
MoreThe concert by the Air Force Band last night was exceptional. The talent of the young service men and women is inspiring. Found myself tearing during the performance with the patriotism ofthe program. Potter auditorium was a perfect place for the performance-the acoustics and .A one. Matched by the friendliness of the staff.
MoreOne would not expect the variety and quality of events held at this venue in a town of only 2,200 people. The stage is just about professional quality, and the staff are helpful. My one complaint is that they should have more events. All sorts of events are held here, but my favorites are the shows. Great quality.
MoreVisiting family, attended a Bluegrass group singing in the auditorium. The space is excellent with good viewing as well as excellent acoustics.Tickets can be purchased in advance with assigned seating. Before the show and during intermission there is alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks available for purchase.A great experience.
