Recently stayed at the Residence Inn Boulder Longmont. We came over here because the property next-door, the Springhill suites was such a mess. What a breath of fresh air here. Although it’s the “classic design”, it’s a an updated level of rooms of their older design, if that makes sense. Rooms are super super clean, the front desk staff was tremendous and breakfast was very good.Probably only negative thing is their television channel selection, I think they are kind known for that at residence Inn, but if that was the only thing, I kept the TV off in our room

Mediocre at best.We stayed 3 nights, and our room was never cleaned.Room, upon check in was clean, but run down. The shower curtain didn’t fit the shower, so floor got wet. The closet doors were missing, so no full length mirror. The bedroom was so small that you had to turn sideways to get past the tv stand. The kitchen was barely stocked with glasses and dishes. The breakfast room didn’t have any white sugar. You had to go to the front desk to ask for the packs that are in the rooms for the coffee maker. That was the oddest thing about the stay. In hindsight, we wished we had stayed at the Courtyard across the parking lot.

I do not recommend this inn. I booked in for 12 days. My days were full and I would come home very tired. By the third night it became clear that the aircon did not work. I reported the problem to both the front office and the convenor of the event I was attending. The following day, after another very hot, stuffy night, I was told they couldn’t find my reservation. They found it the following day. That night I stuck a book in the door to allow a bit of circulation. The next day I had strained my back opening the very sticky windows. Still no one came. Eventually even the slightly opened windows were not enough. By the 7th day, after nights of poor sleep, I stopped in at the front desk to complain once more. The lady told me they’d put aside a room for me two days before, but since I hadn’t ‘come down’ to speak to them, no one bothered to let me know. Incredibly bad communication and failure to provide reasonable lodging. I do not recommend this inn at all. I will not be staying there again.

My father-in-law booked 3 rooms here, and they were all excellent. Service staff were all extremely accommodating and very polite and engaging. There was an issue with the fire alarm during our stay where it repeatedly went off. The staff was very prompt at handling the entire situation, from customer service and answering our questions, to ensuring the proper technicians were immediately contacted to fix the problem. The maintenance employee, Jeff demonstrated FANTASTIC customer service. This is normally unheard of from maintenance employees in my experience, but Jeff set a precedent that customer service is always important! Jeff took great care of us, setting us up with management for alternative last minute booking accommodations at a nearby hotel (Springfield Suites, I believe) so that we could avoid being woken up in the middle of the night if the fire alarm were to inadvertently be triggered. Jeff thoroughly explained the issue with the system to us, repeatedly apologized, made me feel heard and understood, empathized with us, and handled the issue with professional courtesy that exceeded my expectations. I hope Jeff will get the recognition he deserves as a great employee and a valuable asset to this hotel and Marriott in general. Jeff, if you see this, thank you again many times over for your excellent service and personable skills. You’re a fine man employee and any employer should feel fortunate to have you on-hand.Best of luck in your future!

I am a Marriott Bonvoy elite member and a huge fan of Residence Inns. I also don't often feel compelled to write negative reviews. If not for the hardworking breakfast staff, this rating would be a 1.1) To start, I was supposed to receive a room ready message from the hotel. That message did not materialize until 15 minutes after we had checked in.2) We had specifically requested a top floor room away from road noise. Instead of honoring the request or apologizing for not being to honor it, the hotel gave us a ground floor room facing the highway, with the added bonus of an active railroad on the other side of the highway and a sports court outside our windows.3) The bedroom was designed so that the door could barely close, with perhaps 10 inch clearance between the bottom corner of the bed and the door frame. What was even worse was a TV stand situated at the foot of the bed that left less than 6 inches for a skinny person to shimmy to the other side of the bed.4) We were scheduled for housekeeping every other day. That did not happen a single time during our stay.5) Speaking of housekeeping: there were dead moths behind the toaster and the coffee maker; a layer of dust on top of the refrigerator; left-behind trash under the sink cabinet; leaked stuff frozen in the freezer; and, not to be outdone, food residues on almost every dish and bowl, pot and pan, and eating utensil.6) On top of these indignities, the hotel had the audacity to charge $5 per night for parking. This was not a city center property that may warrant such a fee. This practice was simple greed.I will treat this as a one-off in the Marriott portfolio, but this property will never see my face again.
