Excellent photography with a variety of focus - Juneteenth cowboys, native Americans by Edward Curtis and also in their own lens, iconic musicians, and more. Free. Small comfortable space but worth lingering.Read website for parking information. Not from the area so a little confusing, but students were helpful. Worth the effort.

This is a free museum and we spent as much time viewing this small collection as we did at the Blanton Museum of Art. The photographic exhibits are wonderful as well as the historic photos by Edward Curtis and the Big Bang of Texas Music was interesting as well. If you are a Lonesome Dove fan, be sure to see the collection of memorabilia from the movie. Our GPS found the museum with no problem; be sure to read the instructions on where to park and the location of the museum on the website. They explain it pretty clearly.

Be nice if they would update the hours on the website. Drove 1 hr to find interim hours that it was closed….. disappointed

Once we understood where to park. Being in the college library, it was quiet and not crowded. We went for the Lonesome Dove Exhibit and you get to see the original clothing on mannequins and some behind glass but you basically get a personal walk through. The room was small but the student who let us in to view said they will be expanding the collection. Absolutely amazing to see original stuff from this movie, especially if you're a Texan, Western, and Lonesove Dove fan!

This venue is currently undergoing substantial renovations. It was a truly memorable location prior to those renovations, so I am looking forward to visiting once they are concluded (December 2019).
