tripadvisorOne of my favorite places for hiking and mountain biking. There's not too many places in South Florida, so having this park just 20 minutes from my house is so great.
MoreThis is a Palm Beach County regional park that is on the edge of the Everglades with water features, bike, and walking trails as well as a park for model airplane enthusiasts to fly their planes. You do have to become registered as a model airplane operator and get a license to be able to fly model planes in this park. There is plenty of parking and the park closes at sundown. There are alligators in the water.
MoreGreat for a fathers/son day for fishing, RC Cars/RC boat or disc golf. There is not much else out there to do or see for small kids. I did not get to see the archery area but all in all if you’re looking for great walking trails, nature or kid friendly activities I wouldn’t recommend.
MoreA huge park that borders the Everglades at the western end of Atlantic Avenue. They have unusually facilities for radio controlled plans, boats and cars. Also mountain bike trails and archery.
MoreRode for 2 days. Mostly covered by tree canopy (within Loxahatchee National Refuge) and very well marked trails. The main Trail Head is located off Palm Beach Downs Blvd off of W Atlantic Ave. A great looping 5mi trail – The West Delray Trail – comprised of 20+ blue subsegments, including Fishbowl. few carve outs that include a BMX run and a run of hills and banks at 2nd entrance (north). Trail in very good condition and maintained by local club Force and they were on site each day we were there. Several picnic areas in case of rain. Restroom at main Trail Head. Not much traffic but we were there mid week. No critter sightings. Recommend Deep Woods OFF as the Noseeums were quite bad. Highly recommend and will return.
