I've visited COPR twice in the last few months. Both times I was treated to stunning sunsets. The UCSB students turn out in droves to watch the sunset. It's really a sight to see. We parked in IV and walked out on the path to the point. The beaches might not be classic beauties, but they are rugged and inviting all at once. Come on out. Enjoy a short walk. Soak in the beautiful sunsets. I'm an old Gaucho so I may be biased. But as far as I'm concerned this place is magic.

Another pretty area to take a walk. Wide open space and a nice coastal route to view the Santa Barbara channel. If you go during February-May, you can catch a glimpse of the grey whales migrating.

Herons, water fowl and many other birds. Easy walk, but wear appropriate footwear. Close to UCSB, but off the beaten path in Goleta.

It's not my custom to share surf spots. But, this is a pretty well known, non-territorial point. Forgive me, local gurus. This was a fantastic place to return to, after traveling abroad. There's no place like home.

Took a nice long walk during low tide and they have some pretty good tide pools. Wasn't crowded but parking can be tight
