The coastal foraging tour is fun, educational, and inspirational! Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike. Kirk is a great guide, with so much deep knowledge that he really enjoys sharing. We had a blast! And we can't wait to get out there and do some poke poling. Confidential to all you dungeness crabs: we'll see you in November!

The tour with Kirk was incredible -- his wealth of knowledge about our marine environment in Northern California, and his enthusiasm, got us all super engaged and excited. I would recommend this experience to any and everybody, of any age group or background, willing to walk for a few hours on the beach, get a bit sandy, and learn about harvesting food from the intertidal zone responsibly. Such a blast!

We had a great experience. No problem finding parking and the tour start. It was foggy, but calm and not cold. Kirk is a great tour guide, a little chaotic at times, but with immense knowledge. He has a refreshing style of relaying information, a whole bag of great stories, encouraged questions. He is very enthusiastic about his job, sustainable fishery and protecting the coast. He was able to catch ( and release ) or dug out gater clams, moon snails, monkeyface eels, and identified many mussels and birds. Highly recommended, absolutely worth the time and money.

This is a really fun field trip for those who are getting into coastal foraging or those, like me, who are just curious about what's out there. You'd never believe what you'll find by poking around in the mud at low tide.

Great way to spend the afternoon on the coast, and learn about the clams, eels, crabs and other creatures we might not otherwise see. Kirk is an excellent guide and very passionate about sea foraging.
