tripadvisorThe Fort Worth Livestock Exchange Building was built in 1902 to handle livestock sales and is now an interesting replica of the past and contains service organizations and a historical museum. It is part of the old west image of this area of Fort Worth and a step back in time. it has been well maintained.
MoreLocated on Exchange Avenue where the famous twice daily cattle drive takes place at the Fort Worth Stockyards, the Livestock Exchange Building is the central focus of the street. Besides its attractive mission style architecture, it is of historical significance. When it was built in 1902, it contained the many livestock commission companies, telegraph offices, railroad offices and other support businesses needed to run the busy stockyards. It had the nickname of “The Wall Street of the West. Today it contains the Stockyards Museum and Visitor Center.
