I won't say that it is a park. It is a green area with a (good) path, one side is a creek and the other side is a motor way. You can walk from the sign of the park to the camping area. The creek has (almost) no water, the bedding of the creek was probably washed away during the rainy season. Litter are everywhere. For locals this park has special meaning but it no worths visit for a tourist. The only best thing I can say about this park is the Pecan trees. I collected a bag of this healthy nut

The citizens of Garland are to blame for the permanence of litter in this park. Even if it did all wash-in or blow-in from other cities there needs to be a community initiative to clean up this park. This park has potential to be a bright spot in the community. However, without any leadership I expect this park to be just a green polygon on a map. White Rock Lake is a great example of what can happen if people care. Litter continues to appear at WRL but thanks to the local residents who care there is a bi-weekly clean-up. City maintenance cannot be expected to do everything for Duck Creek. I hope that someone will take charge of this situation and turn this park around.

I have enjoyed this park since it opened. It's a nice place for a quiet walk with benches throughout. It is a good get away for a walk, jog or bicycle ride.

I have lived in garland most of my life. This Greenbelt has been around for a while. There are multiple places to start out or finish your walk or bike ride. The park at O'banion and Oates is a good place to have a picnic and you can start and finish there. Lots of trees and covered walkways that go from beyond Oates all the way to Centerville and beyond. Some walkways cross the creek and there are a couple of large ponds.

Used for exercise and leisure a great unimpeded location. Also for walking recommended after surgery or pet walking
