Artistic Portland Gallery was the best location I found for local artists wares on my long weekend trip to explore Portland. The place is staffed by the artists themselves taking turns doing customer service and cash register duty, and that was very helpful as the artist working there on the day I visited was pretty knowledgeable about the other artists that also have work there for sale. There is a wide variety of items; not just pottery, not just photography, not just jewelry. I found several things to take home from multiple artists to represent my first visit to Portland. There are several other stores in the area as well including a couple of restaurants, bars and a small local grocery. Very interesting items made by some very creative Portlandians. Stop here and shop.

What a wonderful find in the Beaumont district of Portland. There were so many great pieces of art in every medium you can imagine. This is a co-op and the artists also work there so you get to meet them! A beautiful space laid out so well, Go on a First Thursday if you can like we did, and many of the artists are there to greet you and talk about their work with a glass of wine and apps. I have already purchased some early gifts for the upcoming holidays and can't wait to go back. Their window displays are amazing you won't be disappointed.

I am an artist in this co-op gallery. Every time I come in, I am wowed by the new work my colleagues have been working on and have brought in. There is something new every time. We have so much beautiful art, from paintings and photography to jewelry, to ceramic art, fiber art, glass work, small gifts and cards. There is so much talent in the group, but what I appreciate the most is the wealth of experience and the generosity of the individuals who work together to run the gallery in good times and bad.If you are looking for something to inspire you or a gift for someone else, this is a great place to shop! All up and down the street are fun shops and restaurants in the cute neighborhood of Beaumont Village.

From the outside, I liked what I saw and the idea of local artists but when I entered, I felt like I was being stared at which is not a comfortable feeling when you want to browse! I wasn't real taken with any of the art, in fact it was a bit disappointing. I did buy some nice silver rings that were a good price but there was nothing else I would have wanted to buy. My advice is that the artists should be more friendly, not so suspicious or desperate looking.

This cute shop consists of many local artists in Portland. Something for everyone. The lady who helped us was so friendly and is an impressive representation of Portland, even though she is from Germany! Stop by if downtown.
