tripadvisorWhile most of the trail was moderate the last leg to get to the lighthouse was definitely not. Very disappointing to walk all that distance to get to the lighthouse the last climb was beyond our capabilities. There many other trails we could have hiked
MoreMy husband and I did the trail. We started a little after 8 am. It was 70 degrees. I recommend starting early on this trail, no later than 9 am. It heats up very very quickly. Bring plenty of water. I went through 5 bottles. The trail is mostly level until you get near the Lighthouse. The views are phenomenal from the top. We saw various lizards along the trail and bugs. Make sure you were plenty of bug spray, specifically for biting flies. We used Picardin and it worked great but several on the trail were complaining of the biting flies. It took us 3 1/2 hours to complete but I stopped and identified several bugs and plants along the trail. We finished around 11:30 am and it was 105 degrees. It’s not a strenuous trail, it’s the heat that is strenuous. Would do again and the views are worth it, just pack lots of water.
MoreAmazing trip at Lighthouse Trail. Worth it to do at least once in a life time. I've travelled with my friends and we had such a great time!
MoreBoys like it, girls were not as excited as our boys. I’d say it’s a pretty good trail in term of the moderate difficulty, good trail millstone indicators and good view. Overall it’s like 4.5 stars for my family.
MoreGreat trail. This time of year, start early and get off the trail by 11:00. Take plenty of water. Lots of greenery and beautiful wild flowers. It is worth the hike for the view from the top!
