tripadvisorGreat place for my two year old grand son to let out some energy. He loved playing with in the dirt, exploring the paths and checking out the little houses. Be prepared this place is where kids are supposed to play and they will definitely get dirty. Had to drag my grandsons out he was having so much fun. I’m sure it’s prettier in the summer when flowers are blooming but it’s still a great place to visit.
MoreI can imagine if you have children and live in Ithaca, this is a FANTASTIC resource. There are play areas, little places to hide like a woven willow structure, a little playhouse, a small pond - looks like they run a camp and kids had been catching frogs in nets, and of course, the gardens. It is free, it is fenced in. There was a snackbar there but I don't think it was open. We took a stroll around, took some pictures. It's right across the street from the lake trail. There is plenty of parking. Sadly the giant earthenwork turtle sculpture was closed off when we went (lol, I can't tell you how disappointed I was!). We had a pleasant time looking around - it's definitely a cool place. Again, it must be an amazing resource if you actually have kids to play there/go to camp there - and a great place for taking pictures of your kids as well.
MoreVery creative, kid-oriented, interactive. Fun, fun, fun (even for grown-ups)! The anarchy zone is brilliant. Bring lunch and have a picnic.
MoreI love free things. I particularly love free and unique things and this met the bill. From the large turtle sculpture to the various little stations, it was a neat experience. We seek out unique kids' experiences and had never been to a place quite like this so it was a hit. Both my 3 and 9 year old really enjoyed it. It definitely has the getting young people interested in nature and farming in a kind of free range thing going on. One nice thing that I liked about it was it's enough to do for a while but then you still have time to do other things in Ithaca. Highly recommend for something to do with kids in Ithaca.
MoreThe Ithaca children's garden was a nice, relaxing break after our morning spent hiking to waterfalls. It had plenty for the little ones to enjoy and allowed us adults to sit back and relax for a little bit. One of the best parts-the attraction is free! If you are in the Ithaca area with young children I would recommend stopping here.
