I had left a couple messages that were not returned in mid-April 2014 so I did more exploring and found a different phone #. That # was answered promptly by a young lady who had been helping GW Tours... she told me they went out of business several months ago...

I work for a major Disney hotel as a Concierge and Guest Services. I have been trying to assist my Guest in booking her a deg way tour for the past 3 days and they have not returned any of my calls. Very unprofessional to say the least. I'm really dissapointed in their lack of caring and service. As soon as words spreads around they will be out of business. I will deffinetly not recommend them to my Guests. I will make sure their sponsors are aware as well.

Tried to redeem Groupon tickets and I have tried for 3 weeks to get a hold of GW Tours to make a reservation with no luck. I have called at least 50 times, actually got someone to answer the phone one time and she stated she was on another line and would call me right back, but no return call ever. Have left many voicemail messages and finally got to the point that their phone was going straight to a voicemail box that was full. It appears that I am not the only one that was having problems getting a hold of them. I have to say that Groupon was amazing on trying to assist me in getting a hold of them and finally offered to refund the cost in Groupon Bucks, which we gladly took them up on since it became extremely frustrating that GW Tours has such poor customer service that I would not want to use them even if I could get a hold of them. Good luck trying to get a hold of them to make a reservation!

My husband and I did this tour which was different to the usual Segway tours that e have done. Usually we use them to orientate ourselves or for sightseeing but this was purely for fun. It was the first time we had been on sand. We all had to watch an introduction video and after checking that we could actually ride the Segways, did not have to do any more training. It was great fun riding in the sand and the grassy knoll near the end was also a lot of fun. This is not the tour for the sightseer but just for the fun rider.

I live in Huntington Beach so I was prepared not to be too impressed. I what I had to learn is this is not a city tour with a guide talking about the history of the city. This was a tour like you never have had as much fun zipping down the beach as you will on a Segway. Our guide, Joe Medina, had us watch the safety video after getting fitted for helmets. We then did a couple of exercises in the parking lot of this three year old business. There were only three of us so things moved along quickly. After showing some competency in maneuvering the Segways, Joe had us ride though the back streets of Huntington Beach, again to verify we could control our machines. Once he was confident we weren't going to ride out into traffic, he took us across Pacific Coast Highway to the bicycle trail where we qualify, he says, as pedestrians. This despite the fact the Segeways can reach a speed of 12 mph. Then the fun began. Using our big knobby tires we went onto the sand. Joe had us racing along the water's edge. Doing climbs up the berm on the shore. Back inland we zipped up the pedestrian ramps. Then it was over to a grass bowl to zoom down 45 degree inclines. A coupe of us even ventured to bound down a set of six stairs. All the while Joe kept taking pictures that he would assemble onto a disc when we got back to the office. The hour and a half went way too fast. I promised Joe, and myself, that the next time I get an excuse to show an out-of-town friend a good time, we will be back to do a Segway tour on the beach.
