Worth visiting as a reminder. It's a simple memorial not especially curated and mostlused by locals for rest in the shade and dog walking in the park area and by tourists for quick photos. They've attempted to remind us especially of the horrors at Auschwitz with its wall and train tracks. So it does remain worthy of a visit....something unexpected in Baltimore.

I was in Baltimore for other business and stumbled upon the memorial. One is never prepared for such a moving site -- especially for those who might not know of it in advance. One can spend as much time as one needs to to ponder the need to remember the Holocaust.

For years, I have driven past quickly through the rush of downtown traffic, missing this important memorial even though it is in plain view. Today, I took time after a meeting in the busy Inner Harbor area to let my maps app point out sights I had not seen. I was impressed with the clean lines and still green grass of this park-like setting and the reminder that in our hectic present day, not to forget the past.

Any Holocaust Memorial is moving, and I have been to a few on my travels including the actual Auschwitz and Dachau concentration / death camps in Europe. This memorial in Baltimore's downtown is no exception with a hard hitting sculpture of contorted entwined emaciated human forms and a memorial wall bearing poignant words from Primo Levi, a Jewish chemist who survived in Auschwitz for 10 months.Worth a visit if in Downtown area to pay your respects by remembering for a moment the 6 million Jews put to death by the Nazi's from 1933 to 1945.

I was really disappointed when we walked around the grounds of this memorial. There was trash all around the statue and then back by the wall on the right there was nothing but a brunch of needles laying all over the ground. I thought this would be interesting for a teenager to see and be able to read the signs and I had my one year old with me, nope, I will not suggest this place to anyone which is a complete shame.
