Nice place with cool views and free parking. Me and my boys went there to try fishing and explore. Too windy and the tide was too high for us to get back where we wanted, but we found a cool trail that went along the shore through the mangroves.Looked like a lot more to see and we’ll go back if we can!

The trail is in good shape, beautiful views, and rather quiet as well as shady in the late afternoon. There is only one section, the Terra Ceia trail, that’s still sectioned off. Park closer at sunset. Not sure how people go about watching the sunset. No entrance fee. Easy parking. Dogs on leash allowed.

Still a great place to walk your dog and they are actively putting it back together. The boardwalks are intact but the kayak launches were effected

A lovely natural area situated where the Manatee River, Terra Ceia Bay and Tampa Bay join. Interesting trees - Mangrove, century old oaks, gumbo limbo, strangler figs.Learn about the Amerindians that their middens or temple mounds and see remnant's of a settler's house from the 1800's. You can't help but be impressed at the fortitude, hard work and courage to live among this natural beauty without a grocery store near by.I was able to get so close to the she sandpipers at the beach that I had to be careful not to tread on them. From the recent hurricane, there is a lot of fallen brush and trees in the woods, but the paths were clear. The dock was closed since large parts had been washed away. The paths were not marked, nor did we see a big sign so you were not sure where you were going as you wondered off into the forest on the path but one path brought us back to a road. There was a porta potty near the beach area. This place had a lot of natural beauty made accessible, and I appreciate there are places like this still in the world.
