Let me start by saying Calvin and Don work hard to bring a great tour of the area. However, if you want to know where every 70s band played and every bar is this is the tour for you. There is so much information given and if you are from out of town most is not relevant any way. If you want to spend time at the MLK exhibit dont take this tour. They run you through important interesting exhibits and then take you walking a mile walk through graffiti laden areas and call it art. CNN is a 30 minute lunch stop. Unless you pick a place with very little line you cant eat and forgot about seeing anything at CNN. We stopped at a food stop at 930am and walked through what the guide said was great places to eat. However we didn’t have time and I paid money to walk through food concessions? Don talks the entire time but isn’t interested in answering questions. Apparently he has his company agenda and is afraid he might get off track. When you drive to see things the bus never slows down and if you missed it sorry. Meeting location is kind of difficult to find. If you are looking for a suburban mall this place is not it. I would suggest if you want to see MLK center and birthplace and other places mentioned on this tour and you actually want to read, learn and talk to People about what your seeing this is NOT the tour for you. If you only have 5 hours in Atlanta and want the highlights you will get them here. Oh and just a side note. I would think these places they bring you would want you to spend money in their shops. There is no extra time to spend 5 minutes in a gift shop. Don said if you want to come back you can do this or that. What if this was your ONLY chance? Again Don worked hard but I think the tour company should rethink what they offer. Or change the name to Atlanta City Tour on Speed....

For an annual industry conference in March, 2017, we worked with Jennifer at City Running Tours Atlanta to provide an organized group run for conference attendees. We had about 40 attendees join us on our morning run and Jennifer ensured that we had a great route (the historical Atlanta sites tour route was located right near our hotel) and fantastic guides for each group. Jennifer was incredibly easy to work with and made sure we had everything covered. As someone who travels to new cities often and attends many conferences throughout the year, I highly recommend working with the team at City Running Tours Atlanta to provide a group run for your next conference. It was a great change of pace for attendees and we got to visit many interesting historic landmarks including the birthplace of Dr. King.

Denise was an excellent tour guide! I got to see MLK's childhood home and see the church were he preached. We were able to see the Georgia Statehouse, beautiful public art, and so many locations from the Civil Rights Movement. Even though it was cold and rainy when I went, I had so much fun learning about Atlanta.

I was in Atlanta for a quick weekend trip and wanted to get in an eight mile run. I was unfamiliar with ATL and was struggling to map out a good (and safe) early morning run. Fortunately, I stumbled upon the City Running Tours - Atlanta website. Denise was very helpful in scheduling my run, and Martha was the perfect running partner and tour guide. She provided just the right balance of historical information with interesting city tidbits. Martha took me on their standard six mile run but mapped out the last two for me. It was the perfect way to see the city in a limited amount of time! I would highly recommend City Running Tours - Atlanta!
