Went here with my OHCE group on an outing. I had never heard of it before, and didn't even know there were bald eagle's in Oklahoma. I learned so much while we were there and every staff member and volunteer were able to answer all of our questions, and boy did we have lots! What a great place to learn so much about so many birds and great to see how they take such great care of these birds and some come in gravely injured and through such painstaking care have been nursed back and even been able to be released into the wild again.

The most amazing place where caring people tend to many kinds of large birds. They had 67 eagles when I visited. This is a place everyone should visit to see how the Iowa tribe cares for eagles.

The care and beauty of the wildlife is fantastic. The staff are great and encourage questions from visitors. I went on a group trip and the tour guide was great explaining how the birds are brought to them as well as why some of the birds will never be able to leave the sanctuary.

Got to see eagles up close and personal! Tours are on weekends but you have to book at least a week in advance.
