My most recent visit, this was a fun place to eat and listen to great, relaxing, smooth, soothing live jazz music. The staff and people were really friendly. I also love this building, the feel of the place with all its' history; having visited various businesses in the building many times over the years - nostalgic, beautiful and timeless. Dégagé jazz cafe located inside. Very cramped. Trying to be an upscale jazz venue as opposed to the earthy feel of the now defunct Rusty’s Jazz Café. Where Rusty’s was renown as the best jazz venue between New York and Chicago… Dégagé probably will never achieve that type of notoriety. Not what I would classify as a comfortable place to relax and enjoy jazz. One the plus side though… they can make a variety of martinis… their only saving grace. Stage is way too small... but so is the room.
