tripadvisorI rode a 1/2 day with Doug and it was great. He is a pro, great guy to ride with and knows the trails inside and out. Having a knowledgeable guide, all I had to do was show up and follow, which is exactly what I like when riding in a new place. We spoke the night before so I could give him my experience level and he planned the perfect morning. You wont regret booking a trip with him. Sedona trails are stunning and varied in scenery and terrain. Enjoy.
MoreThe terrain was hard for beginners but a great learning experience, especially because we had a terrific guide who always checked in and provided great advice for the various approaches to the terrain! Doug was warm and generous with his time and energy. I am very happy we did this, even though it was hard for some of us.Thank you Hermosa!!
MoreEric and I had Leslie as our guide. We had an absolutely amazing day. She took us on trails that were a great fit for our skill and comfort level, showed us the best lines on our ride, and let us take our time viewing all the gorgeous scenery Sedona has to offer. We would absolutely recommend Hermosa Tours and Leslie to anyone coming out here to ride the area! Thanks so much!
MoreI did a half-day mountain biking tour with Britta, and I am so, so, glad that I did! I had not been out biking in more than two years, and Britta was incredibly patient. She gave me excellent advice on how to conquer some of the trickier parts of the trail, and let me do a couple of re-dos so I could prove to myself that I was capable of getting a few steeper downhills. Britta is just the best, and I'd recommend her to anyone thinking of doing this trip. When I return to Sedona, I will be requesting her for my next mountain biking adventure!
MoreI recently arranged a mountain bike guide through Hermosa Tours in Sedona, Arizona to explore the vast network of trails located there. When I initially emailed them, they were unfortunately fully booked, but they went out of their way to try and get me a guide for the initial day requested. Fortunately for me, I did have flexibility and they were able to lock me in with a guide for Tuesday, Feb 11, 2020 (the last day I was in Sedona). I was setup with Joanna who contacted me to arrange our meeting time - snow was forecasted so Joanna was super flexible and we moved our originally meeting time of 9:30 am to 11:30 am upon her suggestion to have better conditions. This was appreciated as I was super keen to have a guide for at least a part of my time in Sedona (I had ridden the trails the three previous days on my own by choice) - Joanna's flexibility on start time allowed me to get the tour in and still depart Sedona on time to start my travel back home. Joanna asked me a few questions as to the type of riding and trails I wanted to check out - her knowledge of the network in Sedona is fantastic and she paired me up with exactly the type of riding I was looking for on my last day. The tour itself went super smooth and the trails were amazing. We had a touch of rain the night before so I got to get a little taste of the famous hero dirt so sought after in this region. Joanna politely waited for me throughout our ride as I tried to keep up (she can rip!) haha. During the tour we chatted about bikes, the local scene and some of the other great places she's ridden while I provided her some info on my local scene here on the east coast of Canada. Overall, I was super happy with Hermosa Tours and Joanna's guiding. I highly recommend them/her to anyone who has the opportunity to check them out. Easily one of the best days of my trip. I'll definitely be back in Sedona and won't hesitate to reach out to Hermosa and Joanna for another tour. 5 stars, 10/10!
