tripadvisorThis shop is right off Chinden in Garden City, so one day, I just stopped in to browse. I ended up with several Christmas gift paperweights and a new respect for those who blow glass! Warning: This is NOT a place for small children, the glass-blowing area, and the browsing area are one and the same. It was fascinating to watch them work. They also give lessons, so if you have anybody who responds well to an off-the-wall kind of gift certificate, consider the gift of glass-blowing! Very funky little shop, I enjoyed my visit very much.
MoreHow can you not enjoy just watching? Glass blowing is a timeless art. Lots of people do it but not everyone does it well. These guys have it down to a science. Pull up a chair and let the show begin. Bowls, vases, plates, chandeliers...everything and anything.Beautiful colorful glass of all shapes and sizes available for purchase or just to observe. We are currently waiting for a custom piece (a chandelier) and can't wait to display it in our home.
MoreZion is a great guy. Stop by he is usually blowing glass right there while you shop or set up a private glass blowing class.
MoreZion is a great teacher and patient with those wanting to learn glass blowing. My husband loves coming in and making various glass pieces. Zion does beautiful work which you can see in his studio. This is always a fun thing to do.
MoreZion Warne provided a Valentine's Day special with a private 2 hour lesson for 2. Zion was a lot of fun, he explained how to create this beautiful art and we picked colors and he blew a vase for us. In addition, Zion showed how for my wife and I to make a heart by dipping the stcik into the melted glass and then roll and continue to shape the glass and then to pull it into a heart. This was probably one of THE most enjoyable, memorable events in our 20 year marraige. I highly RECOMMEND calling Zion Warne at his stuido in Garden City and to sign up for a lesson. He has multiple priced events so that you can afford to paricipate in this marvelous activity.
