Whether you're looking to spend a relaxing afternoon outside or catch some great summer vibes, the BeltLine Eastside Trail is the place to be. There is an extensive array of things to do, and if you're not a fan of walking miles between spots, there are plenty of rental bikes and scooters along the way. You can head down to Piedmont Park, where you'll typically find some type of festival going on. Also, check out Ponce City Market to grab food and drinks, bar hop, or just people watch as the area comes alive day and night. It has grown incredibly popular, so expect large crowds during peak hours on the weekend. Luckily, the BeltLine is so massive that you can still easily find sections that are more chill. It's also one of those places that can be completely free or pretty expensive depending on your plans. If you're into fitness and moving your body, I'd personally recommend checking out the ATL Bike Barn to rent a bike for a couple of hours. It's only $10 an hour and makes it super easy to explore. Just start early if it's the weekend, as navigating the trail traffic on bikes after 12:00 PM can be quite a task. If you're into bar hopping, definitely check out Chiringa (they have a massive TV nearby for sporting events), Hawkers, Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, and Painted Park. There are also more than a few local shops and pop-ups around if you're into shopping. There is truly something for everybody here. It's a perfect place to hang out for the day!

I took a class at Temple called sustainable cities and it’s very hard to tell what the class is about from its name!! I wrote a paper for my final on elevated parkways and I am a fan of them!! I went to Piedmont park and then walked on this to Ponce city market!! It was a good walk and I saw people biking and walking their dogs!!

Such a busy place with lots to see and do. If your in to action, noise, people, animals(pets) and a lot of distance to walk or ride a scooter, this is a very interesting place to be.

The Eastside trail is very dangerous to all during peak hours. It is too congested and not enough room for walkers, scooters, and bikers. It's unfortunate there is not a lane for wheeled transportation as way too many people have been injured.
