I must give a shout-out to Patrick - our pilot - for help creating this surreal birthday moment for my wife. It was the perfect day and the perfect team. A BIG thank you to Megan (for communication, prompt responses, and caring), the crew members who are really friendly, nice, and thoughtful enough to take the picture of our balloon, and Patrick, for making us feel so secure and comfortable throughout the ride. My wife, two daughters (Teens), and I - we all had the first-timer feer, and my mom was scared of heights but Patrick was so good at putting everyone at ease. I must say, the landing was faultless and gentle! It was a perfect birthday gift!MNM

I'm not a hired professional photographer for them. I am just a photographer hobbyist and absolutely love taking pictures. I happened to be their with my wife, enjoying a few brews at the Milkhouse brewery which is where they launched. I had my camera gear with me as I always have it with me anywhere I go during weekends. And so, I decided to take photos of the process and work to setup up their hot air balloon for flight. They were very friendly and helpful in letting me get closer to catch close up shots... Thank you Tailwinds!

I surprised my hubby with this adventure and he was so excited! Patrick was so friendly and VERY informative. Safety briefing was very clear and it was fun to be part of the crew. Loved the champagne toast and history of ballooning at the end of the flight.

Truly a unique and memorable experience!! This was a surprise birthday present for my wife and son, so I kept things a secret until we pulled up to the field in Frederick at sunrise. Our pilot, Patrick, was fantastic---very knowledgeable, passionate and a great conversationalist. Highly recommend his outfit if you ever consider an outing of this sort with friends and family.

What a great experience...a present my husband will always remember. Patrick, our pilot, did an excellent job of explaining the safety procedures and telling us what to expect.I'm a bit nervous about heights but this ride was so smooth, I didn't need to chew my nails even once. The views were incredible. One moment you felt close enough to touch the trees and the next moment you found yourself looking down at great blue herons and small airplanes.
