tripadvisorSeeing Odessey on IMAX was a hot thing. But there is no 70mm nearby. So IMAX at Jordan’s. It is weird that they have IMAX in a furniture store and you have to walk through the store to enter the theater. The screen is large and basically flat. It is not like Omni theater which is curved. Also, it is not the very best IMAX screen format but it is excellent. The flat large screen makes watching movies very pleasant. The sound system is also great with 11 channels plus BUTT shakers on each seat. The Bass in my opinion slightly too much. The seats are not like the new AMC theaters which is large reclining sofa but it is fine. The bottom seat cushions will probably need new padding soon but was not uncomfortable. For the price of the adult tickets of $16 plus a reasonable $0.50 fee per ticket online, it is a great deal for a premium sounding large screen. We plan to see more hot shows there.
MoreWanted to see the new BladeRunner movie, and thought, what the heck, let's see if it is at the IMAX Theatre. It was, and I could buy the tickets online for less than what it would have come me for two tickets to a regular theatre in Westborough. Duh. Easy to pick up the prepaid tickets, nice refreshment stand, and a great movie viewing experience. The only downside, and it is a small one, is that the walk from the parking lot to the theatre and back is long one as you have to find your way through the Jordan's maze. Highly recommended - even if it were a few bucks more. Same or cheaper? Should be your first choice if that is the movie you want to see.
MoreMy sister took me here...it is on top of a hill..easy curving dive off Route Nine in Framingham ,the Golden Mile Wars there and some other films...The Furniture store is amazing near by..The whole place is amazing, a different kind of shopping experience
MoreThe Natick IMAX is the ultimate dream come true for the true film connoisseur. To call this merely a theatre with a big screen is a great disservice. First off, the screen isn't big, it's HUGE and watching films in high definition on it is simply breathtaking. On top of that, when watching movies in 3D, you're eyes are pretty much always on the screen, making a considerable difference. Additionally, let's talk sound. Incredible sounds blasts from all sides of the theater, immersing you in the action of the scene. Subwoofers (or buttkickers as they're also known) are all over the place here so that you not only hear your film in gorgeous quality, but feel it shake your entire body. Absolutely incredible.Seating has also been given some nice attention with TempurPedic cushions that are far more comfortable than the usual blocks of foam or (gasp) hard plastic. In terms of seating and film view, the center seats are still inevitably the best seats in the house, but most of the side seats will allow for fine views. There are also a few drawbacks though to be aware of. As typical of most IMAX theaters, there is only one screen, meaning that: A) The movie you want to see may or may not be playing. Keep in mind though that if you're waiting for a blockbuster juggernaut like Avengers or Star Wars, it's going to be here almost guaranteed. And B) If the movie you want to see is playing, buy tickets early. Meaning WEEKS early in special circumstances (Looking at you, Rogue One). If you're planning on hopping over to Natick IMAX on a Friday night to see Star Wars Ep. VIII on its weekend premiere and didn't buy tickets, you'll probably be staring at a sold out sign and a line of fans dressed up as Ewoks beginning at the bottom of the hill by the British Beer Company. That being said, as long as you purchase tickets in advance (in person or online w/ fee) and get to the theater NO LESS THAN an hour before show time (Two hours to play safe in most cases), you're generally expected to have a fantastic experience. You may also get lucky watching a film on weekdays during early hours. While this seems like quite a bit of work to see a film, keep in mind that this theatre is intended for those few, unforgettable film experiences, the ones that you brag to others about and wait to return again. The IMAX theater in Natick, without any doubt, gets my highest recommendation.
MoreLove this theater. The experience is the best way to see a film, especially the action films. Have seen a bunch of great films here... they usually get the first releases of the top films. Just saw the latest Marvel film... was typically awesome. The place is usually packed so get there early.
