I organized a Bachelorette party to Sedona and the bride wanted to see fine art and possibly purchase a price to display at her wedding. We walked into many galleries in the area and we were welcomed kindly. Not at this place! As we walked up to the gallery a tall man with white shirt hair that seemed to be a curator or gallery worker saw our group coming and before even speaking to us, simply saw the brides sash and rudely said Hey, this is a calm place. And hey, honestly as a business owner myself I understand wanting a certain ambiance in your store, and that the typical Bachelorette party may not fit the bill. But there is a kinder way to do that. We weren't welcomed to the gallery, we weren't addressed by anyone else after that. Next time maybe try a Welcome to Rowe Fine Art. Congratulations on your future wedding! Here we try to curate a calm peaceful atmosphere and we appreciate you guys helping us maintain that. Or a million other kinder ways you could have expressed your concern that we may be a loud group. We hadn't even entered the gallery when this man barked at us. We are probably the calmest Bachelorette anyone has seen, wanting to walk through fine art, and focus on relaxation. So to be judged by simply having a bridal sash was ridiculous. I am a collector of fine art, as is the bride, and we both bought pieces from different galleries for the wedding yesterday, but certainly not in your gallery. Shame on you for judging a book by it's cover.

Rowe Gallery had the most beautiful art that we saw in Sedona (and we visited a lot of galleries). We were looking for a painting for our bedroom but didn't find anything that fit that particular need; however, Rowe Gallery had some amazing paintings and sculptures! Its worth a visit even just to admire!This is a little side story to the gallery - we didn't have a great visit to Sedona... they had over a foot of snow the night before we visited, shops/restaurants closed, my husband lost his winter coat at the airport when the temperatures were in the 20's....we visited Rowe Gallery and as were leaving, I spoke with a lady at the desk; when she said to have a nice day, I said that our visit hadn't been very nice due to the weather....we left the gallery and a minute later, the lady ran out after us, handed me a chocolate bar, saying that she hoped that that helped my day a little! OMG - it made me feel so much better to have that kindness bestowed on us!! Such a small gesture but I'll always remember it :)

Whenever we visit Sedona, we stop into Rowe Gallery. Such a treat for the eyes to see the bronze work and paintings. The staff are very welcoming. We love the live tree trunk growing inside the gallery. These are mostly bronze sculptures; some realistic and some whimsical.

There were many beautiful art displays. We had the pleasure of meeting co-owner Ken, who is nearing completion on this life size tiger that will be transformed into a brass sculpture using the lost wax method. He was gracious enough to explain the whole process to us. I cannot wait to see the finished sculpture and hope he posts pictures of it.

Mr. Rowe is a well-known animal sculpturist. He is living locally but also has pieces in Santa Fe. If in Tlaquepaque center it is worth a visit. Friendly informative staff. Also there are some traditional art pieces-Southwestern/Native American themes. It is not large studio, so give it 30 minutes and you will have relaxing experience.
