tripadvisoryes it is indeed a gorgeous building. A fine piece of history.Unfortunately its been purchased for nearly 3 years without one thing being renovated. And actually becoming an eyesore. Its very sad that it was sold to a man with a reputation of neglect, manipulation and defience of rules and regulations. But the city knew of his reputation and still made the deal. Theres no one to blame but the seller. Very sad.
MoreThere is SO much architectural PLUS to this building and in such a prominent place. Hopefully we can capture it's beauty again. For now it is a very tired yet impressive example of architecture. Don't miss a walk by.
MoreIt is a nice walk bye. The building is right on the edge of the bustling downtown and financial district and the fringe that is being renovate. It will be interesting to see what the city does with it. Is there money to renovate this historic site, or will it be razed for whatever comes next.
MoreThe exterior of the building is attractive but the Y is closed. it's currently one of many historic buildings in St Pete in danger of being redeveloped.
MoreThe Y is part of American history.I love their way to improve family and community values .Been to YMCA in St Pete for gym and they have beautiful structure and kind staff.
