My husband and I spent 2 nights in the upstairs studio apartment. It was beautifully decorated with a warm, welcoming cottage feel. There was a private deck we enjoyed that overlooked the Arkansas River. Breakfast was delivered to our door and was excellent. The owners were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing getaway!

The room at lark landing is as charming as one could hope to find. The hosts are delightful. The home cooked breakfast is wonderful, and delivered right to your room. The grounds are pleasant and the proximity to Florence River Park is a bonus. What really puts a visit here over the top, is sitting right next to the Arkansas River. The sound of the water is the world's greatest natural sleep aid. You can also watch beautiful sunsets from your bed. I also loved the in room piano (electric). Amazingly, all this comes at a tremendous value costing less then you would find at less pleasing properties. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Easily one of our top 3 B&B experiences.

My wife and I recently stayed here. It was perfect for us. Loved the river outside. The comfort of the room was awesome. The grounds are very well kept. The host and hostess are the best. We talked with them for many hours. Mark and Barbara made us feel very welcomed. We plan on staying here again in the future. We shopped all the antique store in Florence.

On the long drive home from a recent trip to Canon City/Pueblo, we found ourselves talking about our stay at Lark Landing as much as our adventures in the area. Our hosts were easy to communicate with by email, phone and text as we planned our adventure and received answers to our questions about the area. The hosts, Barbara and Mark, took notes and planned an anniversary surprise which was waiting for us in the beautifully appointed suite. The room was every bit as wonderful as the pictures/descriptions with soft lights, music playing. The views were wonderful from the ceiling height windows on 3 sides of the room, not to mention viewing the Arkansas River just 20 feet from the deck. For three days, this was our relaxing and comfortable home away from home. After being out and about all day, we looked forward to our evenings spent sitting at the landing area by the rivers edge, strolling around the 6 acres of immaculate grounds, enjoying the rustling sound of the trees & river as well as the critters (wild and domesticated). Coffee around the campfire with our hosts one night was a treat. Each morning, we savored a cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise down river and had a little quiet time. We found ourselves quite distracted by the smell of bacon wafting on the morning air as Barbara was preparing our gourmet breakfast made from fresh-local ingredients. A short time later, Mark arrived with an overflowing breakfast basket at our doorstep. We enjoyed breakfast in a different location each day: breakfast in our room, on the deck and even had breakfast at our host's dining table on the last morning. Conversation flowed with our fascinating hosts and the next thing we knew, we were leaving 2 hours later than our initial plans. As we said our Good-byes the question in my mind was, Is it appropriate to hug your Hosts? The answer is yes! Our only regret is that we wish we'd have taken more time getting to know our interesting hosts. Our next trip to the area will definitely bring us back to Lark Landing!

My sister and I were going to a wedding in Canon city Colorado. We like to stay in places where you can sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. All of the hotels in town were square boxes with no landscaping and no place to sit outside. We were thrilled that we found this wonderful place to stay. I have never stayed in Airbnb before so I didn’t know what to expect.Barbara and Mark have done everything to make this place perfect. The room was extra large, not attached to the house, very clean and they had everything you could possibly want. There were several places to sit outside and enjoy the river flowing by. There was a private deck off the unit facing the river where we spent a lot of our time. There were so many choices for breakfast so we tried a different one each morning and they were all delicious.I would definitely stay here again the next time we come to visit family in Canon city.
