The Buffalo Room is a performance venue and creative commons in the grand tradition of the historic artists’ salons of Paris, London, and New York, but with a Midwestern twist. We were here for the January 17, 2015: Burlesque on the Rocks Show - Sticky Fingers - A tribute to the Rolling Stones. The room is located in the back of the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill and if you walk in the front or side door you have to walk around to the back behind the shuffleboard table to find the door that leads you to the stage room. The easiest way to find the room is to enter from the back door. The room is furnished with either two or four persons tables and chairs and the tables are small enough if you have a larger group of people and the flexibility of the show for general admittance you can arrange the furniture to accommodate your group. The sound system worked well though we aren't sure if it is provided by the establishment or the venue artists of the evening. The stage was well lit and it seemed you could have a good view of the stage no matter where you were seated. The chairs were uncomfortable to sit on after more than 15 minutes and the soda we were served tasted downright weird. The mix was off badly and maybe it doesn't matter much for mixed drinks but when you are drinking soda straight it does. It wasn't a bad venue and we are giving our rating based on comparison to others we have visited of this type. Comfier chairs and better soda would have gone a long way.
