This is a very well put together gallery by a young owner, Josh, and his staff.First and mainly, the art shown is very good, being young and fresh.The space is very attractive and good for showing art. There is also in-house studio space.In the gallery is a nice little bar and room for a band.Being an ex gallery owner I have to say Josh is doing an excellent job and we look forward to more shows.

Never been and never been but did as part of a tour - we were welcome and told areas we could enter, but weren't told anything about the business, how it came to be, do artists rent space? Some nice pieces with a mixture of different forms - paint, photography, 3D etc. Our favorite was a small shelf with a couple of white paint splashes behind, what looked like 3 stones from the beach - lol, just $200.00 too. Was here less than 15 minutes!

We found Var Gallery by word of mouth and we could not have been happier with our visit. Owners Renee and Josh are rightfully proud of the space they have created to benefit artists in the Milwaukee community. We brought a large group of friends on a Friday night to celebrate my husband's birthday. Josh gave tours of the collective of artists who use the space to create. Amazing. Renee, also an artist, made fun drinks. The most popular of which that night was the Uncle: Bourbon, Plum Vanilla Syrup, and Angostura. Talented performer, Micah Olsan, entertained our group, who sat on comfortable benches that the two owners has just made. The atmosphere was conducive to both guests who wanted to converse as well as those who wanted to watch the performance. I wished I lived closer so I could attend Var's comedy shows, drink and draw sessions, and performances.
