On our way back to MSO from Triple Creek Ranch, we stopped by Lake Como. Reminded us of Lake Tahoe but much smaller. Very beautiful lake and not too busy during the season. We used Waze to get there and passed by the beach area (you should turn then) and told us to another couple miles. We climbed the mountain and suddenly we were on a very narrow rode with the cliff right there. It was a bit scary. We finally turned around when we knew Waze was wrong. But the views up there are amazing. The lake itself has a rocky beach, no concessions but at least there are restrooms. Bring your own everything. Great stop for a few minutes or a couple of hours.

just visited Lake Como. Few tips for you!! when booking make sure you are staying in a hotel along the lake which has a boat stop. They run the boats like buses all day and they are blooming superb. We by chance did book a hotel in Oriveto Lario. The Ell Moro 5. Fantastic little bar outside for a quick pint or coffee. lovely staff. Amazing restaurant food and wine. Great staff and superb service. Was very busy every night. We got the boat outside every morning to Bellagio. This is the main really busy hub of the lakes. Heaven knows what it is like in peak season!! Got off the boat here and you can get other boats to any where on the lake. Verenna was super, again very busy!! Mellagio also great. So easy once you know what your doing to hop on and off the boats. Ques for tickets though so be careful about your return ticket. Get a return when you get on so you dont miss last boat. Altogether a fantastic experience. We stayed 3 days. Probably enough to see main parts but stay longer if you want to explore more afield off the beaten track. Enjoy!!

Traveling around Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and Arizona this summer. Lots of mountain lakes. This is a water reservoir, not a mountain lake. Just fine for swimming or boating, but this is not the place for a scenic lookout.
