As someone who used to work in hotel marketing, I try not to get too hyped for a place based on the pictures online. I know all the tricks and the angles, so I temper expectations. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to Found:Re and noticed that the room looked better in person. The layout was cool and the desk was spacious. There are little hidden features like lights that can swing 180 degrees to go from a desk lamp to a bedside light. The industrial vibe was modern and clean, and I really appreciated how roomy the space is.The standout of the property is the Match Bar and Market. There's a full mini wine store down there. The staff at the bar were all friendly and attentive. The food that I had was good tasting and a good value. My one gripe with the bar and market is that it closed at 9pm during my stay. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a market on-site if it closes that early. And now we get to the unpleasant part of the review. The staff. Since the bar and market were closed and I couldn't grab a drink there, I asked the front desk agent if there were any bars nearby worth checking out. He asked what I was looking for and then sent me on my way. Let's just say that he could not have been more wrong. I don't think it's good business to send your guests to a place where there is a weapons pat-down at the front door. The next day I was working in my room all day so I declined housekeeping services. I had used all of the coffee and paper coffee cups so I was looking forward to those being replenished the day after. As we were returning to the room at 330pm, we ran into the housekeeper in the hallway. She asked if we wanted our room clean. We said yes please. She said now. So we begrudgingly went down to the bar to wait for her to tend to the room. She replenished the coffee pods. No new cups. No new sugar packet kits (but she did put the half-used kits back in the holder so it looked like they were replenished). No new water bottles. So. For a three night stay the room was cleaned 0.75 times. Finally, when I went to inquire about a late checkout, the front desk clerk (not the same one from my first night) didn't even look at availability. She immediately said I can do one hour complimentary and gen-z-stared at me. I understand that a late checkout is a courtesy, but based on my experience with housekeeping, it's not like my staying two hours extra would have held my room from being turned over. All in all, the place is stylish and the location is great. This was a part of the city I had not been to previously and this hotel helped me explore and find a few new places I liked. But good lord does the staff need a complete re-training.

As a second time returning guest who was excited to mark my anniversary with my partner for this visit, I was totally taken aback. Working in customer service myself, I know that hospitality depends on true warmth, actively listening to guests, and making them feel important. From the moment we walked in, we got the impression that we were not welcome. Not one of the people at the front desk smiled or welcomed us in a friendly way, and the whole process felt like an obligation. Echo, whom I spoke to checking in and who claimed to be in a supervisory capacity, set a passive-aggressive tone from the start, and we did not feel welcomed as a second-time returning client. Passive-Aggressive & Misleading Explanations: We had confirmed an anniversary upgrade to a Deluxe King prior to arrival, but were checked into what was clearly a Standard King based on the hotel’s website floor plans. When I in good faith asked about this, Echo became completely dismissive, insisting that the room was already a Deluxe and claiming the only difference between a standard and a deluxe is the patio. That is simply false. FOUND:RE’s own booking site shows the Standard King at 398 sq. ft. and the Deluxe at 474 sq. ft., along with a dedicated separate desk layout.Possible Remedies: As for possible solutions during my interactions with her, I clearly proposed paying the difference out of my own pocket so that we could move into a more expensive room and amenities. Rather than checking the availability or even offering to help the guest pay for any extra amenities or accommodations as a remedy, she continued to argue and dismissed my request. Inappropriate Privacy Overstep: To defend her argument further and what stuck with me strongest, Echo insisted on coming up to our room to prove her point to me in person. My partner was actively changing inside the room at that moment. Given this context, demanding an in-person confrontation at a guest's door over a simple room dispute crossed a severe security and privacy line.Beyond the hostility at the front desk, the room and property amenities fell completely short:Cleanliness & Basics: When we arrived, the room was found to have a shortage of basic necessities, so we had to phone the front desk to ask for about five to seven towels in order to have a sufficient supply of amenities. Missing Amenities: Wi-Fi on the upper floors was noted at check-in as not working, and the TV is limited to basic cable with no streaming or casting capability, which, honestly, given the context of this reservation, was not that big of a deal, but I will note. Additional Fees: Parking was communicated to me to cost a substantial $30, even for a single-night stay, which wasn’t so great. I will also honestly say that the sole positive of our entire stay was the lunch area. We used our $15 dining credit, and the restaurant servers were very attentive and courteous, and they showcased hospitality—the exact opposite of the front desk experience we had. With understocked essentials, inattentive and dismissive communication from Echo, and clear inappropriate boundary overstepping, this experience negatively affected me and my partner’s anniversary as we visited Downtown. I am left totally confused as to what the standard of hospitality is at FOUND:RE.

The room itself was OK. Exception. The shower. Awful. Water all over the bathroom floor. Nothing to keep it contained. Booked this hotel as it was for a girls weekend. The draw was the pool with outdoor bar. Pool was great. Outdoor bar was NEVER opened. Very disappointed with that as it was the primary draw to this hotel. Parking is awful. Total scam. Hotel says nothing to do with it. But it is what they use! We had our car booted night one! After getting a confirmation “thank you”. And $130 citation later. No answer to calls. Emails. Or text messages. And the hotel does nothing to assist. Location to Roosevelt Row was good. Unfortunately, we would not recommend it stay here again.

This hotel is great! It is the second time I've been here. Echo was the front desk associate and she was very accommodating. We had a couple of issues and she was quick to follow up and resolve them. Our room is fantastic and Echo enhanced our stay and made girls weekend even more memorable! Love it here. Highly recommend.

This was our first trip where we were actually able to stay several nights and enjoy the hotel's amenities and surrounding offerings. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself is fun and has a great, artsy vibe, and I LOVE the industrial aesthetic! Its also always very clean. The Match restaurant and bar on the first floor is a great food and/or drink option. This hotel is in the heart of the arts district and right next to the Phoenix light rail system, so we spent three nights with no car and had a great experience. I've also stayed here with a cat and they are very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend Found:Re.
