Contrary to other reviews, leashed dogs are allowed, just dont let them swim because alligators are present. Also, swimming is prohibited for humans because, alligators! Parking is $7 for the day

Easy in-out access at Ray's Wayside Park. Paddled up stream to Silver Springs, Spring Head 5:45 round trip for 61 year old kayaker with 45 minute break at aluminum kayak ramp, and occassional rest stops along the way.

Park is nice - there is a $5 fee. There was no parking so we planned to leave but wanted to let the dog stretch. We took her to an area where there were zero people and threw the stick for her a few times. A gentleman came out and told me no dogs were allowed....which was fine....but funny because there was also several signs outside of the location he came from that said beware of dog LOL.

This is a very nice park costs $5, bathrooms are decent. The Silver River is beautiful, people fishing. However, if you want to see Silver Springs, I recommend launching from the State Park. The trip from wayside was tough and we kayak often. The current was very strong and took us quite a while to get all the way there.

Nice for boat launching, and good for hand launch of kayaks, but not really a pretty park. Right on busy highway 40, and the water is nasty looking until you get out to the river. The water you see when you launch is simply a canal coming from the river, not the river itself. Many picnic tables available, but nothing special as far as any view .
