The float itself is amazing, but be careful getting out of your tube and walking near the section before the rapids. Recently had friends come visit who had a nail go right through their heel and had to go to the ER for medical attention.

One of the most relaxing river raft rides/floats we have ever taken. The scenery was beautiful. The access to the river was simple to get to and to exit.

Don’t be fooled by all the ads to rent a “heavy duty” tube for a float. The main float area of the river is super calm and doesn’t require a “heavy duty tube” as the rental companies like to advertise. You can easily buy a $5-10 pool tube or other float device (ideally an inflatable kayak so you can paddle back to your parking spot) instead of spending $25-30 per person to float the Deschutes. Plus, there is no time limit when you bring your own float device :)

The river is beautiful.We floated the river twice. We brought our own tubes but paid for the transportation at park and float. We floated the river with young children. The river is nice and calm in town. The kids didn’t have any issues while floating.Highly recommended.
