tripadvisorWe hiked the Fanning Trail starting at the trail head located at the back of a church parking lot. There was plenty of parking in spite of the fact Sunday service was going on when we arrived. The trail was well marked at the beginning and most of the way. Only a few stretches where we had to guess where the trail was because being fall the fresh leaves somewhat covered up the trail in places. Also starting at the church trail head appears to have the steepest part of the hike leveling off at about a quarter if the way through the trail. Definitely enjoyed the hike and will be back to try the other trails as well as repeat this particular one.
MoreIncredible views off both sides of the mountain are easily reached after a relatively short hike. This is a fun and easy hike great for after work.
MoreWe went there last year and choose one of the hiking trails. It was easy to get to the top and the view was absolutely amazing. There is gravel parking to the right of the road.
MoreA very nice trail for beginners to slightly advanced hikers. About a two mile gradual incline to the top where you are rewarded with an amazing view.
MoreThis was a nice trail. If you start at the church its a solid up hill with lots of rocks. Its actually hard to run the first mile with all the rock. Beautiful scenery but i could see it being real muddy after a recent rain.
