tripadvisorThis lake is absolutley breath taking with Crystal clear water throughout. The underwater rock walls are impressive and ominous as it show just how deep the area is. We same many large trout swimming under our kayaks. It was a peaceful float full of beauty and impressive views. Would 100% recommend.
MoreYou have to put your line where the fish are. Near the drop off edge, close to shore, about 3 feet down. If the fish key on the spruce moth, you can use that fly on top and they’ll come up for it. But, it’s not steady. It’s technical fishing.
MoreDusty gravel road and approximately 7 mile ride to get there but the view and water were beautiful. Saw a place to rent paddle boards and kayaks but there is nothing else. From the looks of it, more for the younger crowd and less for us 50 year olds. Worth the ride cause we saw some antelope. Wade Lake is right next to it, so you can see both beautiful areas of water.
MoreThis location can use a bigger boat. Plan on time to investigate all the fishing opportunities. In hot weather, a great place to get your sink lines into cooler water.
MoreWe decided to go exploring while our husbands were flyfishing near the Three Dollar Bridge. Be forewarned it is about a 7 mile drive off the highway on a mostly gravel road but so worth the effort. The lake is gorgeous and seems much bigger than Wade Lake with more boats and paddleboarders. There are some camping spots and restroom facilities are available. A good place to see eagles! Was more populated with a bigger marina than Wade Lake. Plan to pack a picnic lunch and a paddleboard or kayak to enjoy an afternoon.
