My husband has always wanted to go on a paddleboat so for our 50th wedding anniversary, I booked a trip along the Columbia river ont he Empress of the North. It was an excellent trip which caters to the older crowd. (We qualify). The land excursions were interesting, the talks onboard were informative and the meals were great. We are thinking about going down the Mississippi one of these days...maybe for the 60th anniversary???

The boat is actually called the Empress Queen Steam Boat. I am not writing about the one named at the top but the one I listed. I think it was bought out and the name changed. If all this is correct, the trip in the Lewis & Clark Excursion area was great. The trip is a little pricey but if you want to go, this is the way. No complaints on anything.
