The hours are limited, but you can't beat it for the price. You can walk there from the Hyatt. Many interactive displays and you can get a docent led tour with reservations. Good for kids and adults. Will make you an even stronger adovate for Keeping Tahoe Blue.

Check out their webpage before your next visit to Lake Tahoe. If they are sponsoring a program or hike on a day you are visiting, sign up before the group fills up. Most of the programs are free and led by highly informative guides, some who are leading authorities in their fields. I have done a few bird walks with them and not only have I learned something new about birds, but have also experienced places in Tahoe I never would of visited on my own. Highly recommended.

There are few addresses in Nevada. It is located on the college campus (2nd driveway off Hwy 28) It is totally unstaffed until 1:00 pm. I did interactive activities until then. Some displays not working and nobody to ask.

TINS is a great group. We've done a few bird hikes with them an ALWAYS learn something. If you are visiting and they have events, sign up.
