Tilikum Crossing, Bridge of the People is a Portland landmark and the first of its kind in the United States. The bridge is unique in that it allows no private vehicles or cars, and is exclusively for public transport, services, pedestrians and bikers. The Portland Streetcar and MAX Orange Line trains operate across the bridge. This bridge is a cable-stayed structure and a unique addition to the city's skyscape.

Reviews
tripadvisorThere is a sad relative lack of pedestrian bridges in the world. This one is beautiful, it's easy to walk, and it goes over a very scenic river. I acknowledge that few people are as into bridges as I am, but this one rocks!
MoreWe crossed the river because we needed to see the other side and because we wanted to experience this lovely bridge. The river itself is mighty and there are bluffs along it so the bridge soars. Up in the air.
MoreBridge was not well lit. Area to access the bridge was not well lit. Area looked seedy, empty and not safe. I went at 9:30 PM in the evening shortly after sunset. It may be better to experience this location during the day.
MoreOutstanding bridge. Unlike other bridges in Portland, this bridge illuminates beautifully at night. This is very close to OMSI.
Morewalk the bridge see all the city views and river traffic. check out the lighting at night. enjoy biking if thats your thing also.
