tripadvisorThis is the first truly pleasurable movie theater experience I have had in many years. Like stepping back in time to an era of small town, family owned movie houses, before multi-plexes took over the world. The first you notice is the smell of real, actual popcorn that is cooked in the lobby. There’s a full bar. I ordered the chicken empanadas and they were delicious. A great candy selection. Locals and weekend ski visitors sat at tables and chatted before the show. The people who work there care about movies and are super friendly to out of towners. It’s clearly a community hub, with posted town announcements and ways to support community efforts like providing food for those in need. Spend the extra money and get the extra comfortable seats with pillows in the front row. There were 8 of us, ages 11-54, and all of us agreed it was a peak movie watching experience.
Moreadorable small theater only 3 screens. Great small town vibe!Comfortable seats and great snacks available. It was perfect for a rainy day.
MoreWe had good seats, a really interesting documentary, and could go early and get something to eat -- gourmet pizza -- and drink! And this night, the filmmaker was in attendance and answering questions before and after the film.
MoreThis is a wonderful small theater! The tickets are cheap with newly released films. The super friendly staff serve pizza and drinks, candy and great popcorn and you can hang out in the lobby before your movie to eat or socialize. The theater also hosts a variety of additional events in conjunction with BAAM (Bethel Area Arts and Music). They have recently added a low volume matinee.
MoreWhat a great small theater that offers more than the larger theaters. I’m so glad we found this “gem”. When your camping and it’s raining out head to The Gem !
